Note 1: this is a 25 g skein, ~90 yards per skein

Note 2: This is a “rustic” yarn, made from Ohio grown Romney wool with “a little bit” of nylon (per the farmer). It is not Merino soft. I’ve been comparing it to other yarns I have and feel it is a little softer than Lopi, definitely softer than Ullcentrum and similar to my Meadow Rustic Sport as far as softness.

I’ve done crazy things like wear a skein around my neck, my wrist and my ankle (not these skeins..)to determine how to describe how soft it is. I feel it would make a hard wearing sock, outer garment, or hat. On US size 1 needles, gauge was 32 st/4 in, on US 1.5, gauge was 30 st/4 in, and on size 2, 28st/4 in.

Note 3: as mentioned, the wool for these socks was produced in Ohio, on a small farm near Alliance. I purchased all the yarn she had, and she didn't anticipate having more made at this time. I’ve dyed up approximately 1/2 of what I have, and will dye the remainder soon. However, once its gone, its gone.

Minor bleeding may occur on first wash. Each skein is unique, purchase multi-skein projects together & alternate rows. Colors are shown as accurately as possible but Monitors will vary.

You can prolong the life of all textiles and colors by washing by hand in cool water and avoiding exposure to strong, direct, prolonged light. For yarn, air drying on a flat surface will prevent stretching and sagging. A neutral wool wash is recommended. I currently use non scented Eucalan or Orvus.
