· Wool Sourced From A Small Michigan Farm: raised by Kelly and shorn by my brother.
· Woolen Spun: at now-closed Zeilinger Mill in Michigan. Lofty & lightweight due to being woolen spun.
· About Tunis Wool: undyed yarn has a nice warmth to its color-more ivory or cream. Fairly soft but some might feel it's a little scratchy for next-to-skin wear. Perfect for quick, sturdy sweaters, hats, etc.
· What To Make With Kelly’s Tunis: perfect for quick, sturdy sweaters, hats, etc.
· Botanically Dyed: unique and vibrant colors derived from plants and other natural materials
· Long Lasting Colors: only dye materials with excellent color fastness to washing and light are used. So you don’t need to worry about colors unexpectedly disappearing.
· Minimally Processed Yarn: you might find a little vegetable matter in the yarn.
· Nonsuperwash: not treated with plastic or other chemicals, so needs to be washed by hand in cool water, then dried flat
· About Tunis Sheep: a Heritage breed that nearly became extinct during the Civil War. Descended from North African sheep gifted to George Washington in the late 1700s.
