Rare Jacobs are a beautiful old sheep breed, distinguished by their multicolored coats and picturesque horns. They are included in The Livestock Conservancy's list of North American threatened sheep breeds. Visit here to learn more about the Jacob breed.

The wool for this yarn came from Hillside Farm in Michigan and was purchased at the Michigan Fiber Festival,  specifically for its softness and coloration.  Flora Adora Fibers sorted and washed the fleeces before they were sent for processing at Round Barn Fiber Mill in Illinois. You may find the odd bit of vegetation left in this yarn.

Wash by hand in cool water and avoid exposure to strong, direct, prolonged light. Air drying on a flat surface to prevent stretching and sagging. A neutral wool wash is recommended, such as Eucalan or Orvus.

Sweater shown is Polina Pullover by Teti Lutska.
