140 yd/ 60 g

nonsuperwash, botanically dyed

This 2 ply yarn is made from wool raised by my former Ohio neighbor, Debbie. She is an avid spinner, and raises what she calls a “spinner’s flock”. Her sheep are a cross of Merino, Rambouillet, Finn, Dorset and “a few others”, resulting in soft, crimpy fleeces.

The fleeces were sent to Green Mountain Spinnery in Vermont for processing and the yarn is beautiful! Soft, very light and airy and adaptable to multiple gauges due to being woolen spun. Nonsuperwash.

Despite being lightweight, woolen spun yarns trap lots of air, so are usually extra warm and cozy.

Minor bleeding may occur on first wash. Each skein is unique, purchase multi-skein projects together & alternate rows. Colors are shown as accurately as possible, but Monitors will vary.

You can prolong the life of all textiles and colors by washing by hand in cool water and avoiding exposure to strong, direct, prolonged light. For yarn, air drying on a flat surface will prevent stretching and sagging. A neutral wool wash is recommended, such as Eucalan.
